(The Standard 6 Mar 2013) He made billions providing feng shui services
to the well-heeled (富有的)- but now he has apparently (顯然地) seen the light.
Self-proclaimed (自稱的) feng shui master
Tony Chan Chun-chuen, who spent years battling to get hold of late tycoon Nina Wang Kung Yu-sum's Chinachem fortune(華懋財產), has found Jesus.
And feng shui is "fake," says
the former geomancer, who claimed to be Wang's lover and fought a long court
battle to inherit (繼承) her billions
after she died of cancer in 2007. "My past is complete crap (圾垃), it has to be flushed away(掃除)," he told a gathering of Christians recently.
"Feng shui is fake (假的),
only Christ is true. If feng shui turns out (證明是) to be
true, it is only the devil playing tricks."
And with a change of
heart comes a change of name. "Call me Peter when you bump into (巧遇) me on the street," he reminded his brothers and sisters
during his talk, which is doing the rounds online.
Chan will be baptized (受洗) at Crossroad
Community Baptist Church (阡陌社區浸信會) in Tsing
Yi next month. But he also has the small matter of a High Court appearance.
Chan stands trial (受審) on April 22, accused (被控告) of
forging a will (偽造遺囑) he said was Wang's. When asked if he was afraid of going to jail,
Chan said: "There is nothing to be scared (恐懼) of here, because
all that matters is under God's plan (凡事都是主的安排)."
What do you feel happy? Do you think if you had a luxurious house, treasure as well as a large fortune, or lived in luxury and had high social status that you were happy? However, the former geomancer, Tony Chan Chun-chuen said that although he was less rich than his past, it was the happiest day in his life right then subject to his belief in Christ. He is Christian. Tony is to be Peter from now on. Calming down, Peter said there was nothing to be scared of there as all that matters was under God’s plan.
回覆刪除The whole town was astir with the case of Chinachem fortune. Wanting to get hold of Nina Wang Kung Yu-sun’s property, so Peter spent years on the case of legal battle but lost his court. He may be jailed after facing trial on 22nd April, 2013. If Peter had been happy and thankful as well as honest, he would not have been charged with forging a will. Being too greedy to do so, he has learnt his lesson.
In my opinion, happiness is that we should take things easy, to have a positive attitude towards the healthy living and to be living each moment to the fullest. I trust that life is a wonderful trip for different people whether who are the ones with religion or not.
