(Kar) Nowadays many dwellers like to be close to
nature. Some prefer to live in the countryside. However, some still enjoy living
in the city. The contrasts between these two styles of living are as follows.
Life in the city is clourful and comfortable since there
are many shopping malls, different kinds of restaurants and the public places
of entertainment. People like to go shopping as there are shops selling their
products including daily necessities, electronic products and clothes. It is
convenient. Living in the city is easy of access. People can take public
transport to school, to work and see the movie, and listen to the concert, visit
friends and join their family gatherings, and so on. It is good for them to develop
their social networks. Furthermore, there are also lots of education
institutions. Students can choose schools they like. However, in the city,
there are high buildings around the city and crowded with vehicles producing
foul air. People suffer from many diseases because of breathing the foul air. Therefore,
living in the city is harmful to health.
Life in the countryside is monotonous. There are
not shopping malls or amusements, just a small number of shops selling living
essentials. People may not enjoy shopping in their neighbourhoods. In the
countryside, there is no MTR, taxi and other vehicles. It takes a long time to school,
to work and visit friends and relations. People prefer to spend most of their
time in staying at home with family members so that they may not widen their
social circles. Besides, the government cannot provide enough schools for
students so that the latter cannot choose schools they like. Most poor children
therefore receive just little schooling. Nevertheless, Living in the
countryside is relaxing. There are low buildings and less cars producing air pollution.
People breathe fresh air, eat fresh vegetables and fruit and listen to the
songs of birds. So living in the countryside is beneficial to health.
In light of the above differ from living in the
city and in the countryside. I prefer to live in the city because it is clourful
and convenient.
